Installing a home network may be easier than you think

As more and more homes have access to two or more computers as well as interactive Blu-Ray™ players, Games consoles and High Definition TV's, home networking has become increasingly popular.

Connecting this equipment together ( known as forming a 'local area network' or LAN) not only allows files to be shared and backed up easily, but also enables a single printer to serve all of the LAN components in the premises. Although cables can be a slight imposition (We do our best to hide them) , once they are in place and your network is set up, your wired connection should provide you with a more secure, reliable, higher speed connection than a wireless alternative. For this reason a wired connection is preferable for those who require maximum speed for activities such as streaming movies, interactive gaming and video messaging both within and outside the home network.
MT Telecom can install quality CAT5e or CAT6 network cabling around your home or office with wall mounted sockets and trunking. LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen - which complies with the requirements of IEC332/1) cable is available for internal installations. External grade network cable is also available should you wish to add data points to your outbuildings or garage.
